LIMITS

File and Conversion Limits

ImageConvert uses browser safety limits so conversion stays responsive, honest and private when possible. Limits protect your device from oversized images, huge batches and unsupported workflows.

Browser safety limits

The current browser file limit is 25 MB per file for core conversion flows, with a maximum of 20 selected files in a batch. Large images can also hit browser canvas or memory limits before export.

If a file is too large or cannot be decoded safely, ImageConvert shows an error instead of pretending the conversion succeeded.

Workflow-specific limits

Animated GIF/APNG files are refused on static-output routes so animation is not lost silently. PDF image tools focus on local page previews and simple image PDFs; OCR, editing, merging and advanced page-range controls are not part of the current browser workflow.

Guide-only routes remain informational until the required decoder/export path, file-size limits and output verification are ready.
