Supported Image Formats

Convert online means ImageConvert can produce a real output in the browser or with a local decoder. Guide-only means the page explains the workflow but does not ask for upload yet.

Convert online

JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, JFIF, SVG, BMP, ICO and browser-decodable images can use the core converter paths when the current browser supports the required decode/export step.

HEIC/HEIF, TIFF/TIF, Sony ARW, EXR and Radiance HDR inputs can export locally to JPG, JPEG, PNG and WEBP when their browser-loaded decoders/parsers can read the file. EXR/HDR exports are tone-mapped SDR previews; EXR/HDR still images also have byte-proven AVIF, JFIF, ICO and GIF outputs through the temp server engine. Static GIF and static APNG can export to JPG, JPEG, PNG and WEBP; animated files are detected and blocked on static-output routes.

Specialist image workflows

RAW server conversion is not currently enabled/certified; no RAW upload is offered. AI/EPS, EXR/HDR and animation-preserving routes are enabled only where their exact server or browser engine is proven.

Available EXR/HDR outputs and other specialist routes remain route-specific; native professional containers, video and unproven targets stay guide-only until byte proof exists.

Conversion guide formats

RAW camera files beyond supported Sony ARW, AI/EPS, EXR/HDR variants beyond byte-proven tone-mapped previews and AVIF/JFIF/ICO/GIF still outputs, native EXR/HDR/pro container outputs, video/JXL/APNG targets and animation-preserving GIF/APNG conversion need additional processing before upload can be enabled safely.

Conversion guide pages are still useful for format notes and planning, but upload is not enabled.
